On April 29th 2010, the International magazine EUROATLANTIC DEFENCE NEWS and the magazine GREEK DEFENCE NEWS organized with a great success, the:
Athens Firefighting International Conference
The goal of the conference was to bring together the worlds experts in all the fields of Firefighting and present all modern solutions and approaches of Firefighting technologies, operations and management.
The conference was attended by more than 120 participants
Experts from the Hellenic Fire Brigade and the Hellenic Air Force presented existing training and operation methods - equipment used and relative future plans.
Leading International and domestic companies presented all modern solutions and approaches of Firefighting technologies, operations and management.

The opening addresses were made by representatives of the General Secretary for Civil Protection, the Hellenic Air Force Chief of General Staff and the chief of the Hellenic Fire Brigade.
The conference was attended by officers’ delegations representing the Hellenic Air force, Navy and Fire Corps, Attaches from foreign embassies, special scientists and professors from universities and polytechnic schools, representatives from the Union of Volunteer Fire Fighters and others.
There was important participation from 20 leading foreign and local companies, including, to name a few, RUSSIAN HELICOPTERS OJC, BAE SYSTEMS, IFEX, ATESE SA, EPSILON GROUP, CAE, SPACE HELLAS, REAL VISION, KESTREL, KAMPAKAS, MVF-5, THRUSH AIRCRAFT INC, GIMAEX, ERICKSON AIRCRANE, KIDDE FIRE TRAINERS, EUROCOPTER, ANGCO and others.
